Friday the 13th off as a sick day so that David and I could drive to
Missouri. It's a 12 hour drive but so worth it when we saw the view
from the condo we were staying at on Lake Ozark. We spent time
fishing, hiking, mini-golfing, went to a cavern that was seen in
Ripleys Believe it or Not, went to a winery, found yummy maple fudge,
saw some spectacular views, and had some delicious food. (Jacques, I
even tried frog legs!) The weather was actually perfect after the
chilliness on the first day. We spent 3 days there and drove back on
Tuesday. I met his parents on the way back. They seemed like very
sweet people and apparently they liked me too!
Wednesday through Saturday I was in Plano spending time with family.
Emma is still the most adorable little girl in the world. You have no
choice but to say yes when she asks, "Aunt Steph will you please play
with me?". She has all of us wrapped! I also particularly enjoyed
step aerobics and jazzercise classes with my mom and sisters (yes this
is more evidence of my having an old soul).
After returning to Austin last night David and I went on a double date
to see I Love You, Man and dinner at Hula Hut (I know you're jealous
Val). Paul Rudd is the man but the whole movie is hysterical so I
would definitely recommend it. Now I have to get ready to go back to
my normal life at school. I suppose I should get back to planning...
Hope everyone had a great week!
